YOUR DATA, YOUR CHOICE

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026 · Applies to the FeedStory public iOS app described here.

FeedStory is a personal bookmark and study-notes app. The app has no developer-operated account system or app backend, and includes no advertising or analytics SDK.

What stays on your device

Saved URLs, titles, notes, tags, research questions and AI answers you paste are stored in the app’s local library. FeedStory does not automatically send this library to us. Device backups may include this information depending on your Apple settings.

Sharing, links and external AI

When you open a saved link, its website or app receives a visit under its own privacy terms. FeedStory does not automatically fetch the original article or download its media.

When you choose to ask an external AI or other app, FeedStory first shows the text to be shared: the title, URL, personal notes and research question. You choose whether and where to send it using the system share sheet. The receiving service’s privacy and retention rules apply. FeedStory does not supply a built-in paid AI service. AI suggestions you paste back are stored locally and labeled unverified.

Knowledge files and iCloud

Exporting creates readable Markdown snapshot files in the folder you select. If you select iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider stores and transfers the files according to its terms and your settings. Importing an edited note reads the file you choose and shows a preview before replacing that bookmark’s fields. This version does not provide automatic two-way knowledge-base sync.

Retention and deletion

Your library remains until you delete its records or remove the app. Archiving hides a record reversibly; deleting a record removes it from the app’s active storage. Deletion is not a secure-erasure guarantee and does not remove device backups, previously exported files, or conversations and copies held by external services. Manage those separately with Apple, your file provider or the receiving service.

Support and this website

If you email us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to include. Do not send passwords or sensitive notes. We use your message to respond and resolve your request; ask us by email to delete support correspondence, subject to any legal retention obligations.
